About KINGDOM GUARDS
How it plays
Use your mouse to buy recruits, park them on the bench, and merge identical units into stronger versions. Then drag them onto the lane where they’ll auto-attack. Gold from cleared waves fuels more rolls and upgrades, so there’s a chill economy loop too. Early rounds are about coverage; later, it’s about power stacking the lanes that get hammered.
Why the merge matters
Merging isn’t just “number go up.” Timing it right decides runs. If an elite wave is coming, hold duplicates, then chain-merge mid-round for a sudden damage spike. If adds keep slipping through, merge a slow unit instead of pure DPS to create a kill zone. The best plays usually come from combining one high-level carry with smart support—slows, splash, and armor shred.
Map & wave smarts
Paths have bends, forks, and double-backs. That’s your playground. Slows before corners give your team more time-on-target, while splash after corners nukes clumps. Bosses hate long sightlines, so stack single-target where the route loops for maximum uptime. Always peek the next wave type and reposition between rounds—moving one unit can save the whole base.
Quick tips to climb
• Merge on the bench; deploy at the last second so you don’t misread the wave.
• Two cracked lanes beat three weak ones—concentrated fire wins.
• Save an emergency skill/ability for mixed waves (fast + tank).
• Don’t level everything—pick a core comp and lean into its synergies.
Two related defenses to sharpen your pathing:
• Bloons Tower Defense 3 — razor-clean upgrades and tight map control.
• Tower Defense Clash — compact arenas with punchy tower synergies.
