How it plays
Movement is snappy, so micro-steps and short dashes are your best friends. Light attacks set the pace, heavies cash out damage, and a well-timed guard or parry flips momentum instantly. Watch recovery on enemy windups; that stamina dip after big moves is your perfect opener. Keep your camera awareness wide—threats often enter from off-screen during later waves, and trading blind is how runs die.

Loadouts that actually change the game
Heavies (hammers/axes) delete clusters but demand commitment; one whiff and you’re eating a counter. Fast blades excel at hit-confirm into dodge-cancel, letting you “tag-and-go” through crowds. Polearms rule spacing—great for kiting teleporters and bullying shield carriers from just outside their poke. Layer perks like lifesteal on finishers, guard-break on third hit, or damage reduction on perfect blocks to sculpt your route through elite waves.

Enemy mix-ups to learn
Rushers test your defense and punish greedy strings. Shield units laugh at frontal spam—sidestep, tap the back, then commit. Projectile users force lane discipline: cut diagonals to desync aim before closing. Teleporters are the real check—listen for the cue, pre-block the reappear, then pivot into a back-hit. Exploders? Tag once and roll out; styling gets you boomed.

Powering up without wasting currency
Front-load upgrades into core DPS (attack speed or crit) until your light chain feels effortless, then add survivability. Save “oh-no” tools—invuln dash, shockwave, parry burst—for mixed packs, not lone grunts. If progress stalls midgame, pivot to range + stagger; it beats pure damage when mobs overlap.
