About HIDE AND SMASH
How it works
As a Hider, your job isn’t just to freeze—it’s to blend. Rotate to the same angle as similar props, slide into natural spots (no chairs kissing the wall at weird angles), and move during noisy moments so your steps get masked. If the objective needs keys or switches, travel in short bursts and stop in believable places. Patience wins more than panic jumps.
Playing Smasher flips the script. You scan for tiny tells: mismatched pairs, props blocking doors, or that micro-jitter when someone nudges the mouse. Clear rooms in arcs, mark high-traffic choke points, and double back after loud fights—Hiders love sneaking past while you chase noise. Don’t tunnel on one clue; rotate pressure so nobody gets comfy.
Tips that actually help
Hiders: Mirror the room. If a table has three chairs, be the fourth. Symmetry sells the disguise.
Hiders: Tap movement after a smash or explosion; chaos is your cover.
Smashers: Learn “default” layouts so anything out of pattern becomes your first swing.
Smashers: Start with light props, then heavier ones—saves time and stamina.
Why it’s addictive
Every room is a puzzle and every guess feels risky. You’re constantly reading angles, timing footsteps, and baiting reactions. Rounds are short, so it’s perfect between classes, but deep enough that you’ll keep saying “one more” while your friends spam rematch.
Two related games to keep the sneaky vibes going:
• Bob the Robber 4: Paris — silent steps, sweet loot, and clean escapes.
• Detective Loupe Puzzle — train your eyes to spot the tiny stuff that gives players away.
