Fireboy and Watergirl 4: Crystal Temple is that co-op puzzle game where one brain is good, but two brains yelling “WAIT, DON’T JUMP—” is better. You control two heroes with opposite elements: Fireboy loves lava, Watergirl vibes in water, and the green goo says “nope” to both. The big twist here is the crystal teleports—step into a portal and pop out somewhere else, which is awesome… unless you telefrag yourself into spikes.

How it plays
Each level is a little maze full of buttons, levers, moving platforms, and color gems (red for Fireboy, blue for Watergirl). Grab your own gems, avoid the wrong element, and use crystals to warp around in the right order. Mess up the sequence and you’ll lock yourself out of the exit, so think before you dive into shiny portals like a gremlin. Controls are usually split: arrow keys for Fireboy, WASD for Watergirl—perfect for couch co-op on one keyboard or solo speed-swapping if you’re playing both.

Why it’s low-key genius
The teleport puzzles force you to plan routes like: pressure plate → warp → lift → lever → teammate warp → exit. Timing matters, especially when a crystal spits you onto a conveyor or right next to a closing gate. The levels push you to grab every gem and finish under a time goal, so clean movement actually matters—short hops, quick levers, and no panic backtracking.

1) Peek before you pop—check where a crystal’s twin is pointing so you don’t launch into a hazard.
2) Park one character on a plate, solve with the other, then swap; don’t move both at once unless a timer forces you.
3) Collect on the way in, not the way out—backtracking after teleports wastes time.
4) Memorize safe landings after each warp to keep flow and beat target times.
