Vex 3 is the kind of platformer that smiles at you, then throws a spinning saw at your toes. You’re a speedy stick figure sprinting through “Acts” stacked with blades, spikes, crumbling floors, and bouncy launch pads. One mistimed hop and you pop like confetti; nail the route and you feel like a parkour wizard.

How it plays
Movement is super responsive, so tiny inputs matter. Use WASD or arrows to run and jump, tap Down to slide under low ceilings, and hug walls to chain quick wall-jumps. Tag every checkpoint flag you see (trust me), because later Acts stitch together moving platforms, pop-up spikes, and timed blades that punish sloppy rhythm.

What makes it different
Each Act adds a new trick—bait platforms that fake you out, delayed traps that trigger on your second step, and boosters that fling you into danger if you’re greedy. There’s a timer for speed freaks, plus trophies and hidden stars for clean runs and low-death clears. When you’re feeling brave, the challenge stages say “no safety nets” and mean it.

Tips from a fellow grinder
Count cycles. Watch a blade’s full sweep once, then go on beat two.
Slide early. Enter slides before the hazard, not on top of it—you’ll carry speed into the next jump.
Short hops win. Feather jumps to thread tight gaps instead of full-sending.
Checkpoint greed is good. Even if it costs a second, slap that flag.

Why it’s worth your thumbs
Levels are tuned for flow—once you learn the rhythm, you can string moves into a clean line that feels ridiculously good. Deaths reset fast, so it’s always “one more try” until you realize you’ve been speedrunning Act 6 for half an hour.
