Getaway Shootout is the funniest disaster you’ll ever win. It’s a side-scrolling race where everyone moves by hopping—no run button, just goofy, timing-based jumps that make every step feel like a clutch play (or a glorious face-plant). First one to the extraction point—helicopter, exit door, getaway ride—takes the round, and the maps love to bully you with moving platforms, lifts, and “who put this here?” traps.

How it plays
You’re basically a spring with legs. Hold a key longer to launch farther; tap for tiny scoots. The physics are the whole joke and also the whole skill ceiling. Weapons spawn mid-route—pistols, shotguns, grenades, grapples—so you’re always choosing between keeping momentum or detouring for a power spike. Best feeling ever: grappling past three players and landing right on the finish. Worst feeling: detonating yourself off a doorframe. It happens.

Player 1: W (jump left), E (jump right), R (use item).
Player 2: I (jump left), O (jump right), P (use item).
There’s solo vs. bots for practice, but roasting your friend next to you? That’s the real esport. Rounds are short, sets are first-to-a-few, so a blown race doesn’t end your night—you can still reverse-sweep with a smart route or a cursed grenade.

Quick tips from the grind
Feather your jumps. Short taps make micro-adjustments on moving platforms so you don’t pogo off the edge.
Grab on the fly. Only take weapons you can snatch without stopping; momentum > loot greed.
Edge-guard bullies. Nudge rivals right as they fully charge a jump—most will overcook it.
Learn one shortcut per map. A single clean skip wins more sets than random YOLOs.
