Controls are simple and crispy: WASD/arrow keys to drive, mouse to aim and blast. Enemies don’t line up politely—they swarm, camp angles, and guard factories that spit out reinforcements. First rule of staying alive? Delete spawners early before the map becomes bullet soup.

Upgrades that actually matter
Coins from tanks and crates feed the garage between rounds. Speed lets you juke rockets and reposition; Armor forgives the “oops” moments; and Cannon/Fire rate crank your damage so rooms melt faster. New to Awesome Tanks? Open with a point or two in speed for cleaner dodges, then split between gun power and armor. Feeling brave? Go glass-cannon and trust your footwork. Just watch your reload—peeking with an empty barrel is how runs end.

Maps are a weapon
Breakable walls aren’t just decoration. Pop shortcuts to flank turrets, or leave cover intact to funnel enemies into a kill lane. Hug corners, bait a volley, then swing wide for free hits. If a room looks cursed, change it—blow a wall, create space, reset the angle. Smart demolition saves more HP than any armor point.

Target priority (the carry strat)
Spawners → glass cannons (fast, squishy threats) → heavies → turrets you can outrange. Keep a mental route that loops past coin crates and safe corners. And don’t stand still after a big shot—fire, slide, cover, repeat. It’s like dancing, but with explosions.
