About 2048
If your brain likes neat stacks and sneaky combos, this one’s a total time warp. You’ve got a 4×4 grid and numbered tiles. Swipe to slide everything; matching twins fuse (2→4→8→16…), and your goal is to craft the big 2048 tile—then keep pushing for silly-high scores if you’re built different. Every move spawns a fresh tile (usually a 2, sometimes a 4), so careless swipes clog the board fast.
How it actually plays
Tiles merge once per move and only with the first identical tile in the slide direction. After the merge, the line compresses, and a new tile pops into an empty spot. Scoring is the sum of the values you merge, so stacking bigger numbers isn’t just flexing—it’s literal points. Controls are simple: arrow keys/WASD on desktop, smooth swipes on mobile.
Win-more basics (that really work)
Pick a corner and protect it. Park your highest tile there and avoid swiping “away” from that corner unless you know it’s safe.
Make a descending lane. Arrange numbers big→small feeding into your corner so merges chain cleanly.
Live on three directions. Save the fourth swipe for emergencies—random flips spawn junk where you don’t want it.
Plan two moves ahead. If a swipe fills your last empty square, ask yourself where the next tile can safely appear. If the answer is “uhhh…,” choose a different line.
Why it’s so sticky
Runs are short, but the skill ceiling is high. Once the corner flow “clicks,” you’ll hit 512 and 1024 consistently, and those late-game squeezes feel like mini-boss fights. It’s perfect between classes: zero loading drama, pure puzzle focus, and that dangerous “one more board” energy.
Two more puzzle bangers to try after 2048:
• Block Blast — chill block placement with sneaky depth for big clears.
• Merge Cakes — merge mania with sweet chain reactions.
